Getting a recommendation for an engagement ring is very humbling. These rings embody the hope, commitment and love between two people. When Hannah and Paul got in touch wanting to design their perfect ring, it was after they had a previously poor experience in Hatton Garden, so the pressure was on!
With several design presented to the couple they quickly made some amends and whittled down which was their preferred version The couple very much wanted to design the ring together and add in bits that felt fitting to them and their story. One of these elements was a split shank to represent their four children as branches upholding them.
Hannah decided she would like an oval diamond, so after a meeting in the London Diamond Bourse viewing several stones, Hannah settled on a 1.2ct, I, VS noncertified stone. To her, the size and spread of the diamond was more important than it being of the top colour.
With the design confirmed and the oval diamond chosen, it was all sent to the workshop for the final ring to be created,
The delivery of this ring was very special. Neither Hannah nor Paul could make it to London to collect the ring any time soon, so Sophie delivered the ring to them in Wiltshire. It came as a total surprise to Hannah as Paul had arranged it in secret, Once the ring was handed over to Paul, he formally got down on one knee to re-propose with their new ring. A fantastic and sentimental moment! And just like that, the next chapter in their love story had started.
"Oh Sophie thank you so much - it’s such a wonderful ring and it makes me smile every time I look at it."
